Dear Community Members,
This is an exciting time for everyone, as the school bells ring for another year. The staff returned yesterday for the beginning of their days of preparation and effort to get their rooms and lessons ready for the students. We held a Kickoff Celebration yesterday that featured some very special guests: Mr. Otto H. Schultz, and Mr. John Risch. Both of these gentlemen were the backbone of the Mishicot School District for over 50 years, and just their presence at the celebration was a wonderful reminder for the staff of the importance of public education. The men encouraged the teachers to bring out the best in the students, and wished them well for the year.
We also recognized the ladies and gentlemen from our maintenance/custodial department for their truly amazing efforts at getting the school ready during the construction period, deserving of a standing ovation from everyone.
I would like to thank the following businesses for their donations to this celebration: Shear America, Butterfly Effekt, Main Street Coffee Haus & Bistro, Crow Bar, and Fox Hills Resort.
With the school start near, the Middle/High School is bustling with sports teams practicing and teachers/paraprofessionals planning and arranging. This is a great place, and I hope to meet all of you someday this year!
Respectfully,
Lee Bush, Interim Superintendent
