We are excited to announce that Mishicot High School students will soon have the opportunity to earn an Associates of Arts and Science (AAS) degree from UW - Green Bay while in high school. Through the Rising Phoenix Early College High School program, high school juniors and seniors will be able to concurrently fulfill high school graduation requirements and through UW-Green Bay the requirements necessary for an AAS degree. Students can participate in the program at a variety of levels based on their high school course preferences. The number of Rising Phoenix program courses completed will determine eligibility for associate degree attainment. Each student enrolled in the Rising Phoenix program will have an Academic Advisor from UW-Green Bay who will assist in their course selection based on availability and interests and work with the school counseling team to ensure appropriate scheduling. Classes will be offered through dual credit agreements at MHS as well as on UWGB’s Manitowoc and/or Green Bay campuses. The cost of tuition and fees will be shared between the student’s family and the school district in the most cost effective modality.
